I used to think that I was the Queen of Rationalization, but I think that you have out-distanced me this time, Julia!

I love how your brain works!

I also love to pieces the magazines that you've created for the dolls in your signature! How come you aren't on every cover, like Oprah is on hers?!

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Joy, have you ever seen the mini mags that AG prints in the back of some of their AG Magazines? The current issue of American Girl has a mini mag in the back.

The Julie magazines my dolls are looking at are mini magazines cut and assembled from issues of Julie magazine, published by Milan Presse. The description from Amazon is:
Informatif, educatif, Julie aborde tous les sujets pour aider les 8/12 ans a comprendre leur univers, repondre a leurs preoccupations, leur envie de bouger, de rever.
You can also check out the
Julie magazine website.

I don't know French but my daughter does and she interprets for me. I'm crazy over the European fashions the girls wear in Julie mag. After getting my tax refund this year, I subscribed to the magazine. None of newstands around here carry it.

HI All, I may be behind on this so if I am I apologize.
I have found that if you order $5.00 or under the shipping is 95 cents. This may work out to some advantage if you are ordering only a couple of the 5 and under sale items.
I did this when the angelina ballerina books were @99 cents. I would order 5 and then place another order for 5 more. HOpe it helps

Well, I think the magazines are really cute, Julia!....Even if the title isn't about you! But hey there's a good idea too--a magazine called "Julia"! Or you could be the famous author who's featured some month!

Oh, that's a funny way of figuring it. It's so easy to do. It makes you feel less greedy. I know I do this on My Little Pony auctions on eBay. You end up spending the same amount on a bunch of small orders, so you feel like, 'well, that one was only such and such', and 'that one was even less!' Though if you aren't careful, shipping will kick you!

I don't think it works for cookies either or I would still be a skinny person. LOL

Unless there is free shipping, I would much rather spend a huge order 200 plus 3 times a year, and not do little ones, because I don't like paying shipping on every item

I like big orders better- that way you don't have to wait almost a week for each order to arrive.

I also prefer fewer, large orders. When the credit card statement comes in and line after line says "American Girl" I get in "trouble." Solution: I got my own credit card

There's a saying that if you eat cookie crumbs, the calorie count is much less than eating a whole cookie. So if you make a bunch of small AG orders, they don't cost nearly as much as one big one????? Right?????

Done that.
